Methow Valley Elementary is a richly diverse school in a beautiful location. Our student body represents a variety of students, who bring unique talents and skills to their learning each day. 

Community members volunteer their time, care and expertise on a regular basis to support students. A special connection with Methow Arts Alliance creates opportunities to enjoy performing arts and engage in hands-on activities with working artists. The Public School Funding Alliance supports activities such as after school programs, instrumental music classes and enriched classroom activities.

Raising Expectations & Standards

Learning is our top priority. Our teachers are highly trained and work collaboratively to hold students accountable to high academic and behavior standards. We carefully measure student learning and design instruction to meet individual needs. Professional days focus on bringing teachers together to align student learning across the system and discuss strategies to support learners at all levels.

MSP testing at the Elementary School

The MSP is based on a set of standards for different subject areas (Math, Reading, Writing and Science).  As outlined in our recent letter home, many of these tests are now given online.  If you would like to see demonstrations of the tests, or look at tutorials and sample questions, please visit:
