The Association of Parents and Teachers (APT) is a vital support for the students and staff of Methow Valley Elementary. This grassroots organization was founded a few years ago by parents looking for ways to contribute.
APT coordinates classroom volunteers, ensuring that each classroom has a volunteer coordinator. Parents also provide assistance for special events such as science fair, young writer’s conference and reading in the family month. In addition, they act as a community advisory for the principal.
Input from parents via APT is crucial to school improvement in all areas. If you are interested in participating in the APT, please contact Lisa Spitzmiller at: elsptz@aol.com
NEW! PARENT RESOURCE LIBRARY
We are starting a Parent Resource Library at MVE. Do you have any parenting books on your shelf that you no longer need or are willing to share? We hope to collect a variety of parenting books to loan out to parents on a 4 week basis. Books can be dropped off at the MVE office. Please attach a note with your name, phone number and if it is a permanent donation or a loaner. Topics should be relevant to school-aged children. Questions, contact: Jennifer Elden 996-4343 jenelden@comcast.net
