The Methow Valley School District Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mr. Tom Venable has been named Superintendent, effective July 1, 2013, pending final contract negotiations. The Board of Directors expects to take final action on the contract at the next meeting of the Board of Directors on June 12, 2013.
The selection process included multiple interviews with the Board of Directors, meetings with staff members and students, school visitations, writing exercises, public forums, file reviews, and reference-checking. Currently, Venable serves as Deputy Superintendent in the Bellingham Public School District.
