Methow Valley School District Capital Project Levy and Transportation Vehicle Fund Levy on April 28th Election Ballot

MVSD Tennis Court in DisrepairThe Methow Valley School District will hold a special levy election this spring. We will be asking community members to vote on two levy measures – A six-year, 4.5 million dollar Capital Projects Levy and an 800 thousand, two-year Transportation Vehicle Fund Levy. Each provides critical funding to support much needed physical improvements to our facilities and the replacement of our aging bus fleet.

Co-chaired by Sarah and Erik Brooks, the Facilities Task Force has taken a proactive approach to the maintenance and improvements of our facilities and transportation fleet. During the past year, they closely examined the physical condition of the district’s facilities and buses. Using the information gathered, they developed a list of priorities needing immediate attention titled Fund-it Now [PDF] and made a final recommendation to the superintendent and school board.

The superintendent and school board praised the Facilities Task Force for their transparent and inclusive approach and prioritized list of improvements associated with the health, safety, and educational benefits of all students, staff, and community members.

Registered voters should expect to receive ballots in the mail by April 10th.

Thank you for believing in our students and your continued support of our schools!
