The Methow Valley School District’s new Activities Director, Chase Rost, would like to welcome community members and prospective coaches to stop in and meet him at the Liberty Bell Athletic Department Open House on August 9th, between 8am and 1pm at Liberty Bell Jr./Sr. High School.
Meet and Greet New Activities Director
Rost joins the Methow Valley School District after serving as Athletic Director for the Bickleton School District for two years and as President of the Columbia Gorge B League for one year. Rost brings with him a BS Degree in Exercise Management from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside, and MS Degree in Athletic Administration from CWU. Rost was a three-sport athlete throughout high school and a cross-country and track athlete collegiately.
One of his first tasks as AD will be to fill a number of fall coaching vacancies. Currently the Mountain Lions are seeking coaches for the following positions: Head HS Football, Assistant HS Football, Assistant HS Volleyball, Assistant HS Girls Soccer, Junior High Head Football, Junior High Assistant Football.
“We are looking for some community members who are passionate about kids and who understand the educational importance of our athletic programs. I want anyone interested in coaching to know that we’ll be working hard to give you the best training and to develop your coaching abilities. Please visit me at the open house with your interest, questions, and concerns.” says Rost.

The Open House will be held in conjunction with the 18th annual Sports Physicals event sponsored by the Country Clinic and partnering agencies. Physical forms are available at the MV District Office, Aero Methow, Country Clinic, and Family Health Center.
Physicals offered from 8am-1pm. $10 donation requested, with all proceeds benefiting the MV Education Fund. No one will be turned away for lack of a donation.
