Methow Valley School Board Approves Levy Task Force Recommendations

Methow Valley Schools LevyDear Methow Valley Families and Community Members,

On Wednesday, December 9th, the Methow Valley School District Board of Directors unanimously passed two resolutions – A four-year, replacement Maintenance and Operations Levy and a four-year, replacement Technology Levy.

The two replacement levies, representing approximately 28% of the district’s annual operating budget, will be placed on the ballot during the February 9th, 2016 special election. If approved by voters, the levies will provide funding to support staffing, lower class sizes, high quality professional development for staff, high-interest educational programing for students, and provide students with increased access to current technologies and real-world applications that promote readiness for a wide range of future-ready, post-secondary options. Soon, we will be posting and distributing a Levy Fact Sheet.

We’ll continue to share levy information with you on a regular basis to make sure you’re well informed. For those of you interested in learning more about the process leading up to the board’s decision, please read on
