The Methow Valley School District is committed to developing a “System of Exceptional Teaching and Learning.” Creating a learning environment where “Every Student Shines” requires a team of exceptional teachers, access to high quality professional development, and low class sizes.
Using the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) levy dollars supported by our community, the Methow Valley School District has focused on lowering class sizes at the primary grade levels. This has included the recent hiring of Libby Foley, a highly skilled primary teacher. In addition to Hana Baker and Meridith Dufresne, Libby will be teaching Kindergarten, bringing class sizes down to less than 17 students per class!
Joan Stluka, a highly regarded primary teacher, will be joining Libby in the classroom. Joan comes to us with many years of teaching experience at the kindergarten and primary grade levels. When asked, one of Joan’s principals had this to say about her as a teacher – “Without a doubt, she ranks among the top 1% of all teachers I’ve supervised in my 20 years…”
Please join us as we welcome returning teacher, Libby Foley and our newest staff member, Joan Stluka!
