As a district, we believe in the importance of a strong partnership between the school and home. As such, we are inviting interested parents and community members to join the Family and Community Engagement Committee.
The FCE Committee will focus on the development of a comprehensive MVE Family and Community Engagement Framework that:
- Increases opportunities for continuous, two-way communication between the home and the school focused on increasing academic success and social-emotional well being of every student.
- Develops new and refines existing tools and strategies (K-6 Report Card, Progress Report, Individualized Learning Plan, Student Portfolios, Take-Home Folders, Conferencing, etc.) aimed at increasing student and parent understandings of their child’s academic and social-emotional progress and performance and their next steps.
- Effectively communicates all aspects of the instructional program as it relates to the district’s vision of creating curious, creative, compassionate, competent, action-oriented citizens.
- Identifies opportunities for increased parent and community participation.
We are committed to developing relevant and meaningful ways in which to engage families and community members in academic and social-emotional development and well-being of our learners.
