MVSD Activities Director, Chase Rost Resigns Position, District to Seek New AD

Liberty Bell Mountain Lions MascotAfter three years at the helm, Chase Rost has informed us of his plan to resign his post as the Athletic Director at the end of the school year to pursue his professional goals.

As such, Chase leaves the district’s athletics and activities department in good shape with a stable budget, numerous upgrades to the facilities, and strong coaching staff. Most notably, Chase leaves the district having established one of the highest rates of student participation in athletics in LBHS history.  We wish to thank Chase for his commitment to serving our students, coaching staff, and community.

With Chase’s departure, the MVSD will be initiating the interview and hiring process in support of finding our next Activities Director. As a first step in the process, the district is interested in seeking an interested parents and community members to participate on the Interview team. This may include screening, interviewing, reference checking, and/or participating in small group stakeholder conversations with each of the candidates selected for an interview. We are also wishing to solicit input from student-athletes, coaches, parents, and community members as to the qualities and qualifications you believe would be essential to a person’s success within the role of the district’s AD.

Those who are interested in being considered for a position on the interview team or simply wish to share your input as to the qualities and qualifications you believe the interview team should consider when selecting it’s next AD, please contact Drew Simmons, Director of Teaching and Learning and Interview Team Leader at by 5:00 pm May 16.
