MVSD Welcomes Matt Hinckley, New Liberty Bell Science Teacher!

Matt HinkleyMVSD is pleased to announce the hiring of Matt Hinckley, new science teacher at Liberty Bell Jr./Sr. High School.

Matt Hinckley has been a teacher for 13 years and grew up hiking in the Cascades. Matt has taught 9th grade science, 12th grade Physics, and AP Environmental Science at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle for four years. He also taught 7th and 8th grade science, AVID, and the STEM/Makers Lab elective course at Longfellow Middle School in Berkeley for eight years.

As a veteran science educator, Matt has a passion for outdoor field science education that gives students the tools to discover their own passion for the natural world and the skills to be successful in science or in any path they choose.

Matt, and his partner Beth Anderson, have visited the Methow over 40 times in the last 20 years, and although they will miss being close to saltwater, they are excited about skiing, hiking, and enjoying the clean, cold freshwaters of North Central Washington.
