The Methow Valley School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Mindy Miller, Methow Valley Elementary’s new 5th grade teacher.
Born and raised in the Methow Valley, Mindy was a member of the last graduating class of Twisp High School. She earned her teaching degree at Eastern Washington University. Following the completion of her teaching credentials, she returned to the Methow Valley and accepted her first teaching position – a third and fourth grade combination classroom.
After working to support many students as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, tutor… just to name a few, Mindy finds herself returning to the classroom to fill the position temporarily vacated by Kelly Wiest, who is currently on a leave of absence, teaching at the American School of Mumbai in India.
When asked about Mindy, MVES Principal, Bob Winters stated, “Mindy’s lifetime commitment to teaching and service to her community are a part of who she is… Teaching isn’t a job, it’s a lifestyle. Our students are fortunate to have such a passionate teacher who cares deeply about their learning.”
When asked about returning to the classroom, Mindy stated, “I’m so excited to be a part of the Methow Valley School District. I could not be more delighted and anxiously look forward to the many new adventures that await.”
Please join us as we welcome Mindy Miller, MVES 5th grade teacher!
