On Wednesday, October 3rd, the MVSD Food Services Team and Classroom in Bloom will be serving up a healthy, nutritious, locally harvested lunch! Following lunch, MVES students, supported by Classroom in Bloom staff, will be facilitating a “Farmer’s Market” in the garden from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
CiB Executive Director, Kim Bondi states, “The FARMERS MARKET is prepared and led 100% by the students, and this year you can take home veggies for a family meal at home! Students can’t wait to show off their vegetable family groups and compost building knowledge, as well as share their recipes and foods prepared by our high school Foods class. We hope you can join us!”
In order to accommodate the large turnout, the arrival times for lunch have been adjusted:
10:45 – Head Start
10:50-11:05 – Kindergarten
11:05-11:25 – First Grade
11:25-11:40 – Second Grade
11:45-12:00 – Third Grade
12:00-12:15 – Fourth Grade
12:15-12:25 – Fifth Grade
12:25-12:35 – Sixth Grade
Sow it. Grow it. Eat it Know it…
