Debbie Bair, LBHS Secretary, An Everyday Hero…

Debbie Bair - Kiwanis Everyday HeroOn Wednesday, September 18, during the annual Winthrop-Kiwanis Appreciation Dinner, members and guests of the Winthrop-Kiwanis recognized Debbie Bair as this year’s “Everyday Hero” award recipient.

Long-time resident and secretary at LBHS, Debbie works hard in support of staff, students, parents and community members to ensure every individual feels loved, cared for, and valued. Clearly, her efforts haven’t gone unnoticed…

Upon learning Debbie had been selected to receive this award, one staff member stated, “That brings a smile to my face… I can’t think of anyone more deserving. Her warm smile and welcoming presence brings a smile to my face everyday I come to work.” A student chimed into the conversation, adding, “Debbie’s my hero. She loves us and we love her!”

What does an Kiwanis “Everyday Hero” look and sound like?
The Kiwanis “Everyday Hero” award is given to selected individuals who make a significant impact upon others within their community. They are unheralded heroes, everyday, people who change the world where we live by motivating or inspiring others, instilling positive values, and taking action in support of others. They do so without regard for attention or for anything in return.
