Kindergarten Orientation Camp
MVE held a virtual Kindergarten Orientation Camp on Friday, August 21st, for families to meet our Kindergarten teachers and learn more about Kindergarten at MVE.
Welcome Kindergarten Families,
On behalf of our Kindergarten Team, and our entire school community, I’d like to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year!
I can recall the mixture of emotions I felt as my own children entered Kindergarten. I remember being excited for them to enter Kindergarten, and worried that it wouldn’t go well for them.
With that in mind, our team, including Kindergarten teachers Libby Foley, Julie Haskins, and Maggie Wicken, along with Family and Community Engagement Coordinator, Katharine Bill, would like to invite you to Kindergarten Orientation on Friday, August 21, at 9:00am.
This meeting will be held virtually using Google Meets. To join the meeting you will click on the link above. If you do not have a gmail account, you may want to register for a gmail account. If you need any assistance to access the meeting, please contact Katharine Bill at kbill@methow.org. If you are unable to join at the scheduled time, we will record the session and send it out to all Kindergarten families.
At Kindergarten Orientation students will have the opportunity to (virtually) meet the three Kindergarten teachers and learn a bit about them; parents will learn some of the “Common Agreements” that guide Kindergarten at MVE, and you’ll learn more about the upcoming Kindergarten conferences that will be held prior to the first day of school. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to submit questions via the chat function which we will follow up on in a subsequent email after the meeting.
