The MVSD has hired Brad Laesch to serve as LBHS’s new science teacher. Serving as a long-term substitute in place of Katie Leuthauser, Brad brings a strong educational background and related teaching experience to the position.
When asked about how he arrived in the Methow Valley, he stated, “I landed in Seattle from Emory University in Atlanta following my spouse who was matched with the UW medical residency program.” Following his move to Seattle, he worked at the UW technology transfer office during which time the Methow Valley became a favorite destination. Brad eventually left the UW to pursue a teaching degree at Seattle University.
Since, he has taught at Shorecrest High School in Shoreline and has served as an adjunct faculty member at North Seattle College for the past 9 years, fostering a love of science in many who’ve passed through his classroom. When not teaching, Brad and his family can be found out on the trails, enjoying much of what the valley has to offer — trail running, biking, nordic skiing, and backpacking.
Please join us as we welcome Brad Laesch!
