Free Virtual Parent Education Series

Dear Methow Valley Parents,

The Methow Valley School District is fortunate to benefit from the strong relationship it has with its many educational partners, one of which includes The Bush School.

The Bush School will be facilitating a quarterly virtual parent education series and have graciously invited parents of Methow Valley students to attend. Each event will feature a relevant topic about raising our children, including citizenship, how to raise anti-racist children, mindfulness, and digital safety in the era of remote schooling.

The first session titled, “Parenting and Civic Responsibility: What It Takes To Raise The Next Generation Of Civic Catalysts,” featuring Eric Liu, author of Become America: Civic Sermons on Love, Responsibility and Democracy, and the CEO of Citizen University is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 4 at 5:30 p.m.

Eric will host an empowering discussion and Q&A focused on the ways we can raise our children to embrace the spirit of citizenship, restore faith in democracy, and celebrate our differences and the values we share as American citizens.

All sessions are free to both Bush parents/guardians and the greater Seattle and Methow parent communities. Due to online platform capacity, advance registration is required, but there will be no cost associated with your ticket.
