MVE Teachers and ILC Advisor Receive North Central Education Foundation Teacher Classroom Grants

MVSD classroom teachers Meridith Dufresne, Keri Miles, and Kim Odell were recently notified by the North Central Education Foundation that their applications had been selected to receive a $300 grant in support of their classroom projects. The grants, funded by Confluence Health and North Cascades Bank will support the following projects:

Meridith Dufresne — “If I Had a Hammer”
Keri Miles — “7th Grade Geometry Kits for Distance Learning”
Kim Odell — “Who Are We… The ILC”

When asked about the grant selection process, a representative from the North Central Education Foundation stated, “Our hearts go out to your teachers as you continue to pursue your commitment to teaching our students during this unprecedented time impacted by COVID-19. Your teachers have done an amazing job of adapting to new resources and continuing to address the needs of their students in-person and remotely. We are so impressed with how you are adjusting and rethinking how to engage students and deliver the best education possible.”

Congratulations Meridith Dufresne, Keri Miles, Kim Odell, 2020 NCEF Teacher Classroom Grant recipients and thank you Confluence Health and North Cascades Bank for your generous support of our students and staff.
