Every year distinguished classified school employees within each of the state’s nine regions are nominated to receive their region’s classified employee of the year award. The nine finalists selected to represent each region then move on for consideration for the Washington State Classified School Employee of the Year.
This year, MVSD School Nurse, Adriana Vanbianchi, nominated by members of the MVSD staff, endorsed by public health officials and local medical providers, has been selected to receive the North Central Region’s Classified Employee of the Year. She will be considered as one of nine finalists for the Washington State Classified Employee of the Year!
The intent of the award is to celebrate the hard work and dedication of classified school and district employees. The criteria used by the selection committee includes the following:
- The employee as the respect and admiration of their community.
- The employee collaborates with colleagues, students, and families to create a school culture of respect and success.
- The employee is a leader who makes connections between their daily work and student success.
