Coming Full Circle: MVSD Hires Rachel Lidey, MVSD Paraeductor

Rachel LideyThe MVSD employs a dedicated, hard working team of classified staff members who selflessly serve in support of students, parents, staff, and community. They include our bus drivers, food services team, custodial-maintenance department, secretaries, and Paraeducators. Today, the MVSD is pleased to announce that Rachel Lidey has been hired to serve as the newest member of the MVSD Paraeducator team.

Rachel attended school here in the Methow Valley. After graduating from LBHS, Rachel spent two years in Wenatchee where she earned her AA. From there, Rachel spent a year abroad in New Zealand studying at University of Canterbury, eventually landing in the Tri Cities where she worked as a Paraeducator for the Kennewick School District.

When asked about her return to the Methow Valley, Rachel stated, “Jeff and I realized that our family was growing and we knew the city was not for us so we decided to make the move “back home”. We have happily lived in Twisp for the last 8 years with our 4 children Riley (16), Peyton (15), Elliana (8), and Marshall (5). My husband and I are so grateful to be living in a place we love, working in a place we are passionate about, and thankful that our children get that opportunity as well.”

She concluded by stating, “Jeff runs our family business and gets to coach high school football. After many years of staying home with my children, I am excited to join the team at Methow Valley Elementary!”

Please join us as we welcome new MVSD Paraeducator, Rachel Lidey!
