MVSD Weekly COVID-19 Podcast

Dear Methow Valley Students, Parents, and Community Members,

This is a critical period of time… As predicted by national, state, and local health officials, the COVID-19 variant, referred to as Omicron, is now reported to be spreading like wildfire throughout communities across the State of Washington, both large and small. This includes Okanogan County and the Methow Valley.

At the same time, community, school, and healthcare leaders have acknowledged the critical role schools play in the academic, social-emotional, and physical health and well-being of students, not to mention the communities they serve. No different in the Methow Valley, MVSD school officials are working closely with all involved to keep our community safe and our schools open. So, what can each of us do?

Adriana Vanbianchi, MVSD School NurseWorking together with these goals in mind, LBHS Science Teacher, Matt Hinckley and MVSD School Nurse, Adriana Vanbianchi will be hosting a series of weekly podcasts, posted on our COVID Updates page. These podcasts, typically 5-10 minutes in length, are intended to educate and inform each of us as to the actions we can take to keep our community safe and our schools open.

Thank you for listening and doing your part to keep our community safe and schools open.

Sincerely,
Tom Venable
Superintendent, MVSD
