LBHS Equestrian Team Completes First Season in Fine Fashion, Mackenzie Scott Qualifies for State

Two equestrian women with a white horse. Led by LBHS Equestrian Coach, Tiffany Scott and LBHS Equestrian Coordinator, Angelyn Sheppard, the LBHS Equestrian Team successfully completed its first season of competition.

LBHS Mackenzie Scott qualified for State, capturing the District 1 bronze medal in Stock Seat. She is also qualified for State as a second alternate in Hunt Seat. Mackenzie will showcase her skills at the state competition scheduled to take place on May 21-22 at the Grant County Fairgrounds in Moses Lake.
When asked about the season, coach Scott stated, “It was nice to see the growth. I’m excited to keep working with them to get them to the next level.”

For those unfamiliar with Washington High School Equestrian Teams (WAHSET), high school equestrian teams are designed to support, challenge and offer recognition to the dedicated teens who, both physically and mentally, pursue the challenge of the sport of equine competition.

Please join us as we congratulate LBHS Equestrian Coach, Tiffany Scott, LBHS Equestrian Coordinator, Angelyn Sheppard, and the LBHS Equestrian Team!
