Liberty Bell Student-Athletes Combine to Take Third Place in 2022 WIAA 2B Scholastic Cup

Three female high school soccer players in a game with one jumping for the ball.Combining all activities, Liberty Bell student-athletes placed 3rd out of 50 scoring school districts in the 2022 WIAA 2B Scholastic Cup classification. With several top ten finishes during the past decade, this year’s place is believed to be the highest overall place attained by Liberty Bell student-athletes.

Noteworthy, the girls soccer team took top scholastic honors in their sport, with the boys and girls XC and tennis teams taking 2nd in their respective sports, and all other teams finishing no lower than 7th place… Not too shabby!

The WIAA Scholastic Cup recognizes performance in the classroom as well as on the playing surface. Schools that finish at the top of their respective classifications in state athletic competition receive points, as do schools that finish at the top in team academic performance.

Sportsmanship is also a factor, with substantial points deducted for ejections from contests. At the end of the year, the school with the most points in their classification is awarded the prestigious Scholastic Cup!

Please join us as we congratulate our coaches and student-athletes for their outstanding performance in the classroom and in their respective sports!
