Sabrina Freedman to Join 5th Grade Teaching Team at Methow Valley Elementary

Sabrina FreedmanIn response to growing enrollment, and in recognition of the value of keeping class sizes low, Methow Valley Elementary will add a third 5th grade classroom next year. And the district has selected Sabrina Freedman, currently a 5th grade teacher in the Pateros School District, to teach alongside Kelly Wiest and Brooke DeVlieg.

Sabrina started her teaching career in outdoor science education while completing her graduate degree at the University of Idaho. She continued to work in outdoor classrooms around the Pacific Northwest before moving to Twisp in 2015.

Sabrina was the lead teacher for two years at the Methow Valley Community School and then moved to the Pateros School District where she has worked for the last 5 years. While there, she taught fifth grade and health. In her new position as 5th grade teacher at Methow Valley Elementary, Sabrina is excited to help students foster a love of learning.

Outside the classroom, Sabrina is always thrilled to spend time with her husband and toddler. She likes to explore other passions like making ceramics, subalpine adventures and listening to lots of podcasts.

Please join us in welcoming Sabrina!
