The MVSD is pleased to announce the selection of Eva Aneshansley as LBHS’s new music teacher. Eva will be replacing LBHS’s current music teacher, David Mills. David will be returning to his hometown where he will assume the Aberdeen Middle School music teaching position.
Originally from Chelan, Washington, Eva Aneshansley recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with two Bachelor degrees in Music Education and Environmental Studies. After graduating, she completed an apprenticeship on an organic farm in Maine before moving to the beautiful Methow Valley.
While she is relatively new to the area, she is already passionate about the community here and is both honored and excited to collaborate with students and community members as the JH and HS music teacher. Eva believes that music has the power to create a space for collective healing, and that students should be at the forefront of that process. She cannot wait to begin building this space in such a resilient and creative community.
In her free time, you can find Eva in her garden or the mountains immersing herself in different mediums of creative self-expression.
Please join us as we welcome Eva Aneshansley, LBHS’s new music teacher!
