The MVSD is pleased to announce the selection of LBHS alumni, Liam Daily to serve as LBHS’s new math and elective teacher. Liam will be teaching high school statistics, Jr. high school math, Jr. high school sports journalism, and Jr. high school outdoor recreation, and senior seminar.
Liam Daily was born and raised in Winthrop, Washington, graduating from Liberty Bell High School. Afterwards, Liam went on to receive a Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Harvard University and a subsequent Master’s degree in Teaching from Western Governors University. Upon graduating, Liam returned to the Methow Valley to substitute teach and coach.
The Methow community has always been a part of Liam’s life, and he is excited to return to his alma mater. Liam believes that understanding mathematics opens up a world of possibility for creativity and exploration, and looks forward to providing students with the opportunity to problem-solve and overcome obstacles.
When we asked a veteran teacher about Liam becoming a LBHS staff member, the teacher stated, “I cannot imagine a higher form of flattery than to see our graduates return to the Valley and engage in meaningful work.”
When he’s not teaching or coaching, Liam enjoys hiking, running, and generally spending time outside. In the colder months, Liam is a die-hard basketball fan, and can be found either watching high school games or playing pick-up basketball.
Please join us as we congratulate Liam Daily!
