The MVSD Selects Mark Crum to Serve as the New MVSD Network Services Manager

Mark Crum and FamilyThe MVSD is pleased to announce the selection of Mark Crum to serve as the District’s new Network Services Manager. After nearly three decades of exceptional service in support of the MVSD’s instructional technology, information systems, and network, Paul Brown will be retiring on June 30th.

When asked about Paul’s decision to retire at the end of this year, a member of the MVSD Tech Team stated, “Undoubtedly, Paul will be leaving behind some pretty big shoes to fill… Fortunately, we believe we’ve found a person capable of doing so in Mark Crum.”

Mark Crum was born and raised in Kirkland, Washington, graduating from Juanita High School in 1994. Attending Shoreline Community College, and Western Governors University, Mark has over 20 years in the tech industry with experience in cyber security, networking, server environments and software development.

Mark and his wife Sara (Almquist) moved back to Sara’s childhood home in 2006 with their daughter Macey and son Arlen who was born shortly after the move. The Methow community was a big reason for their move. Mark has been a volunteer firefighter for Okanogan County Fire District 6 for over 10 years and has been coaching youth soccer for 7.

When he’s not working, Mark enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, coaching and time with his family.

Please join us as we thank Paul Brown and welcome Mark Crum!
