MVSD Announces the Selection of Jill Driver to Serve as LBHS’s New Special Education Teacher

Jill DriverThe MVSD is pleased to announce the selection of Jill Driver as LBHS’s new Special Education teacher. Jill will join Kris Mihalic as one of two LBHS staff members providing Special Education services in support of LBHS students who qualify for services.

Jill is a 1994 Liberty Bell High School graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Spanish from Washington State University, Pullman. Recently, she earned a Masters degree in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University. Jill’s love of travel and her sense of adventure took her to live and teach in Alaska and Korea. During this time, she and her children had many opportunities to travel, meet many new people, and experience cultures and languages.

Jill is excited to join the dynamic, talented teaching staff at Liberty Bell and serve the students and families of the Methow Valley. When asked about how her recent experiences might support her work with students in the Methow Valley, she stated, “I hope to bring my love of learning through travel while blending it with the Valley’s own rich history and culture.”

When not teaching, she can be found camping, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing with family and friends. She enjoys supporting and cheering on her kids Soren and Astrid in the many sports and activities opportunities around the Valley. Returning home to the Methow has been an absolute delight reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones.

Please join us as we welcome Jill Driver, LBHS’s new Special Education teacher.
