The purpose of the group is to:

Learn about the most effective ways to provide access to affordable, quality early childhood education for all Methow Valley children;

Make recommendations to district leaders about policies regarding Early Childhood Education;

Identify common needs and goals among the parents and teachers of children ages 05; and
-
Serve as an advisory body that provides thought partnership and contributes to effective problem solving regarding Early Childhood Education in the Methow Valley.
Basis for Establishment:

This Committee continues the work started by the Steering Committee for the Early Childhood Education Community Needs Assessment (March 2015).

Approach issues with a collaborative, community-based, partnership approach. Look for opportunities to build common ground, share resources and work together for the best outcome for all MV children.
Responsibilities of Committee Members:

Attend meetings.

Actively participate in meetings and in thinking about how to provide Early Childhood Education opportunities for the Methow Valley.
