Methow Valley Elementary

Bob Winters, Methow Valley Elementary PrincipalWelcome to this introduction to Methow Valley Elementary; a rural, K-6 school steeped in a rich, local tradition enthusiastically preparing its young persons for meaningful opportunities to make a significant difference in the world. Learning is our top priority; developing the social, emotional and intellectual well-being of our students is our goal. Our teachers are highly trained and work collaboratively to hold students accountable to high academic and behavioral standards. We carefully measure student learning and design instruction to meet individual needs.

Currently we are pursuing candidacy in the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the elementary portion of the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB). Our teachers work together to create multi-disciplinary units of inquiry following the PYP framework.

We are a tightly knit, focused community of learners here at Methow Valley Elementary, fortunate to reside within an equally supportive local community. Community members volunteer their time, care and expertise on a regular basis to support our students. A special connection with Methow Arts Alliance creates opportunities to enjoy performing arts and to engage in hands-on experiences with working artists. The Public School Funding Alliance supports activities such as after school programs, instrumental music classes, foreign language and enriched classroom activities.

We are proud of our diligent students, their supportive families, our dedicated staff and our innovative, focused programs of study. We welcome opportunities to connect with you to share our successes or to answer any questions you may have for us.
