Methow Valley Elementary Family and Community Engagement Committee

Family and Community Engagement, one of the Methow Valley School District’s (MVSD) six strategic anchors states "when families and community participate in the education of our youth, students achieve at higher levels. We promote continuous, two-way communication and active engagement in the learning process through a strong partnership between the home, school, community."

OUR MISSION:

To expect, encourage and facilitate the pursuit of excellence in our students, preparing them for a world in which life-long learning is critical to their success and happiness.

OUR VISION:

Working in partnership with our families and community, we develop curious, creative, compassionate, competent, action-oriented citizens prepared to change the world.

WHAT WE DO:

The MVSD is excited to offer a multi-tiered approach designed to engage and empower families as co-partners through:

  • Districtwide and school-based engagement events throughout the year
  • Workshops aimed at supporting families topics of interest
  • Partnerships that promote high quality educational programming, no-cost after school childcare, and enriching clubs and activities.
  • Family & Community Engagement Committee meetings where families are encouraged to share their input and voice.
