Enrollment Options
REACH enrollment periods will take place two times during the year; prior to the start of each academic term, except in circumstances with administrative approval
K-12th grade - MVSD recommends full time REACH or full time MVE/LBHS enrollment in most cases
K-8th grade
- REACH students are supported/supervised by their parent, at home, in their learning
9-12th grade
- MVSD may support homeschool students needing to access elective, CTE and/or world language instruction, specific health and academic accommodations, or choosing to access AP/CiHS courses at Liberty Bell
- REACH supports access to online courses (BYU, etc) in support of students working to obtain a 24 credit MVSD diploma; all students must be supervised by an adult while on campus and approval to work independently from the library is approved at administrators discretion
- In accordance with OSPI, REACH students may take online courses for world language or elective/CTE credits. If interested in online, core subjects, they can be accessed through independent homeschooling (Laurel Springs or WAVA) or through in-person LBHS instruction.
After meeting with families, MVSD will make recommendations for appropriate academic programming; a student who is disenrolled from REACH may not re-enroll for the equivalence of one academic year and may be exited from REACH for failure to demonstrate progress.
